Change happens now.
The Barrios Foundation stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. We are committed to making our platform feel inclusive and accessible to all people of all backgrounds. Below you will find a list of petitions to sign to support the Black Lives Matter movement.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be donating 25% of our donations and all future donations to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Feeding America. It is imperative that we take serious action to combat this virus, as being in quarantine and self-isolation can take a toll on any adolescent or adult with pre-existing mental health conditions. The Barrios Foundation wishes everyone good health, and if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, a speedy recovery. Please stay safe.
Our organization was founded to raise awareness about depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder in adolescence. As much as many would like to believe, school systems and faculty found within them are not as familiar with some of the emotional and mental struggles their students face on a daily basis. Being the founders of this organization, we have had our own challenges with mental illness affecting our lives. Because of these reasons, we are dedicated to changing the way mental illness is perceived, and working to raise awareness in school districts of the severity of mental illness in adolescence.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
We appreciate your support to help this foundation grow and because of your support, we can work to make an environment more understanding of the adolescence with daily challenges. Whether you are voicing these issues, providing donations, or helping in any other way, we forever thank you.
Help change begin now.
